Dr. Brian Cugelman, Founder
Over the last decade, I have worked for academia, intergovernmental organization, non-profit organizations, and as a technology consultant. Throughout my career, I have conducted various campaigns, project evaluations, and technical work for the United Nations and non-profit organizations. I recently completed a PhD in online social marketing with the Statistical Cybermetrics Research Group at the University of Wolverhampton. My research focused on the design of internet-based behavioural change interventions, and online credibility/trust. At AlterSpark I offer research and evaluation consulting, along with campaign design services, and the development of social media policy. For large creative projects, I provide project management and required research such as focus groups or analytical service.

Rena Cugelman, Creative services
Over the last decade I have produced hundreds of micro-sites for well-known companies and television networks. For instance, with CHUM, I designed promotional sites for a number of popular companies, brands, and artists such as Fuji, Pepsi, Smirnoff, Miller, Kellogg Canada, Glow by J-Lo, Sarah McLachlan, 20th Century Fox, and Time Warner. During my career, some of the better known television networks I worked for include MuchMusic, CityTV, CityLine, Bravo, Star!, Space, and ChumLimited. I have a formal education in graphic design and website development. At AlterSpark I provide the creative services.

- Statistical Cybermetrics Research Group (SCRG): Based in the UK, the SCRG specialises in downloading and analysing large-scale web data. The research group has extensive experience evaluating institutional websites, publications, and the spread of ideas in cyberspace. They produce and distribute numerous online research tools, and offer specialism in analysing websites, blogs, and social networking sites. During the 2009 UK academic assessment, the Library and Information Management panel scored the SCRG as the joint 2nd in the UK. Of their submitted research publications, they achieved the joint highest proportion in their category in the top "world leading" class. Having conducted prior evaluation work together, we, AlterSpark and SCRG, are extending our partnership to provide expert consulting that blends Internet research with social marketing expertise. We are currently developing a series of standard research products to aid the online components of social change campaigns.

- Leitmotiv: For project and campaign evaluations, we partner with Leitmotiv, a Spanish-based firm specialising in developmental and social issues. Together, Leitmotiv and AlterSpark offer a diverse evaluation team drawing on significant international development experience, research methods, and a range or evaluation and campaign expertise. We have completed a number of successful projects together. Our recent evaluation of Oxfam GB's Climate Change Campaign received a strong endorsement by their senior management. On behalf of the SCRG, Dr. Cugelman partnered with Leitmotiv on an evaluation of the United Nations Millennium Campaign.
